Squire Patton Boggs appointed Aubrey Rothrock to lead the firm’s global public policy practice.

Rothrock brings extensive experience managing all aspects of government relations initiatives for large domestic and multinational corporations, helping clients across sectors navigate complex policy environments and advance their strategic objectives in Washington. He has been a partner at the firm since 2000 and previously served on the firm’s global board, where he contributed to shaping the firm’s strategic direction and growth.

He will lead the practice with newly appointed deputy group leader Ludmilla (Milla) Kasulke. Rothrock and Kasulke succeed Robert Kapla and David Stewart who co-led the group.

“Our policy practice is an important differentiator for our firm, and we are delighted to have Aubrey step into this important leadership role,” Mark Ruehlmann, chair and global CEO of the firm, said. “He is a trusted advisor to clients and a respected leader within our firm. Aubrey’s insight, judgment and collaborative approach make him exceptionally well suited to lead our global public policy practice, who, together with Milla, will continue expanding our capabilities worldwide. I want to thank Robert and David for their commitment, time and effort in leading our preeminent public policy team. During their tenure, they implemented strategic changes that have led to a more disciplined focus on high value policy work. They have also been instrumental in recruiting top policy practitioners and integrating the practice more deeply across our entire platform.”

Rothrock said, “I am honored to take on this role at a time when virtually every significant business decision has a public policy dimension. Our clients are navigating increasingly complex and interconnected regulatory and political landscapes, and Squire Patton Boggs is uniquely positioned — with its global platform and integrated legal and public policy capabilities — to help them succeed. I look forward to building on our strong tradition and continuing to provide differentiated services for our clients.”
