Legacy Corporate Lending, an independent asset-based lending (ABL) company focused on serving the needs of middle market companies across North America, appointed Dathan Williams as senior vice president, portfolio and underwriting. In his role, Williams will be primarily responsible for managing a portfolio of client relationships, where he will work closely with borrowers to support their ongoing financing needs and deliver exceptional service throughout the life of each credit facility.
Williams brings more than 12 years of experience in asset-based lending, with expertise spanning underwriting, portfolio management and field exam. Most recently, he was a vice president and ABL underwriter at PNC, where he led the underwriting of asset-based facilities with commitments ranging from $25 million to $250 million. Prior to that, he was a vice president and ABL client manager at UMB Bank, where he managed a portfolio of asset-based facilities. Earlier in his career, he held collateral field examination roles at UMB Bank, LCG Advisors and 3W. Williams holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Oklahoma State University.
“Dathan’s experience across underwriting, portfolio management, and field exams makes him an outstanding addition to our team,” Ben W. Silver, head of portfolio and operations at Legacy, said. “His in-depth knowledge of collateral, deal structure and credit risk, combined with his disciplined, client-focused approach, aligns well with Legacy’s commitment to delivering responsive financing solutions to middle market companies.”
