Arrabon Capital, a structured credit firm, has launched institutional financing for U.S. specialty lenders. The firm structures senior secured facilities, including warehouse lines, receivables financing, forward-flow arrangements, portfolio purchases and private securitizations, and places them with specialty credit funds, family offices and insurance companies. Arrabon also arranges asset-based and other secured financing for operating companies. The firm also provides ongoing borrowing-base and covenant monitoring following closing.

“The challenge for many specialty lenders is funding growth before their portfolios have the track record banks require. We structure facilities around the underlying assets and credit performance, then monitor the collateral and covenants after closing,” Mailson Ribeiro, founder and managing partner, said.

Ribeiro previously worked in structured finance and asset-based lending at National Bank of Canada Capital Markets, where he covered facilities and transactions across a portfolio of more than $400 million. At ABN AMRO Bank in Amsterdam, he worked on securitization, significant risk transfer and secured debt transactions. His previous experience also includes SFI Markets, McKinsey & Company and the United Nations.
