Bloomberg reported on a $42 million settlement Bank of America reached with the New York Attorney General’s office. The fine was levied over accusations the bank had sold customers’ trades to other firms without their clients’ permission or knowledge.
According to Bloomberg, the size of the fine and the extent of the infraction has renewed demands for more transparency in where investor orders go and how they’re disclosed.
