Moritt Hock & Hamroff, a New York-headquartered commercial law firm, added Parag Parekh as a partner in its expanding condominium and cooperative services (condo and co-op) practice. He will be based in the firm’s Midtown Manhattan office, led by partner David Fitzhenry.

“Moritt Hock & Hamroff is recognized as having one of the premier condo & co-op practices in New York, led by a highly respected team, and it was the right choice for the next phase of my career,” Parekh said. “I’m excited to join the firm and help contribute to its continued success.”

Previously a partner at Schwartz Sladkus Reich Greenberg Atlas, Parekh brings more than 15 years of experience advising boards and representing developers, purchasers, sellers and investors in commercial and residential real estate matters. He began his career as an assistant attorney in the Real Estate Finance Bureau of the New York State Attorney General’s Office.

“Parag’s experience from private practice and his unique perspective from working in the Attorney General’s Office will significantly bolster our capabilities,” Anthony Ficara, chair of the condo & co-op practice at Moritt Hock & Hamroff, said. “As New York City stands on the cusp of a residential housing boom, and boards navigate compliance obligations under the ever-changing landscape of new laws and regulations, his insights and expertise will ensure we can meet growing client demands.”

Michael Cardello, managing partner at Moritt Hock & Hamroff, added, “Our condo and co-op practice has built strong momentum over the past several years, and Parag’s arrival further strengthens our partner bench. He is an outstanding addition to the firm and another example of top-tier talent choosing Moritt Hock & Hamroff.”
