PlainsCapital Bank welcomed Hudson Marshall as executive vice president, commercial banking and public finance. In this role, Marshall will lead the continued growth of PlainsCapital’s commercial middle market business in Dallas and oversee the bank’s public finance strategy. He will work closely with HilltopSecurities, PlainsCapital’s sister company, to provide tailored capital solutions for governmental, institutional and nonprofit clients.

Marshall brings more than 20 years of experience in financial services, with a strong background in commercial and industrial (C&I) banking, capital markets, public finance and risk management. Most recently, he served as executive vice president of commercial banking at Texas Regional Bank, where he established and led commercial banking across the organization. His career also includes senior roles at Bank of Texas, Regions Bank and Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

“We’re excited to welcome Hudson to PlainsCapital,” Brian Heflin, president of PlainsCapital Bank, said. “He brings a strong track record, and his experience will be key as we continue to grow our reach and support clients across a wide range of industries.”

A Dallas native, Marshall earned both his bachelor of business administration in finance and MBA from Texas Tech University’s Rawls College of Business. He is actively involved in the community, serving on the board of the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden and advising organizations such as the American Cancer Society and the University of Houston’s Bauer College of Business. He is also a 2021 alumnus of the Dallas Regional Chamber’s Leadership Dallas Program.

“PlainsCapital is an organization with a strong reputation and a clear vision for the future,” Marshall said. “I look forward to working with this talented team and our partners at HilltopSecurities to help our clients navigate their unique needs and take advantage of new opportunities for growth.”
