King & Spalding has added partner Allison Bell to its Corporate practice group in New York, continuing the firm’s expansion in the capital markets space.

Bell joins from Kirkland & Ellis, bringing extensive experience in capital markets transactions and corporate governance matters. Her practice focuses on representing issuers, underwriters and sponsors across securities matters, including initial public offerings, equity and debt offerings, tender offers, and mergers and acquisitions. She also advises public companies on SEC reporting obligations and disclosure matters.

“Allison brings the energy, drive and skill set crucial for the firm as we continue to expand our presence in New York and build on the capital markets and public company work we do for our clients,” said Keith Townsend, co-leader of King & Spalding‘s Corporate practice group. “Allison has deep experience working with large private equity firms and their portfolio companies, which we will rely on as we continue to take on more capital markets work from our private equity clients.”

Bell earned her B.A. from Boston College and her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.

“King & Spalding‘s collaborative environment, excellent reputation and strong momentum in the marketplace were very appealing to me as I considered the next step in my career,” Bell said. “I am eager to jump in to help the continued growth of the New York office, the Corporate team and the firm overall.”
