GoldenTree Asset Management, a global asset management firm with over $71 billion in assets under management, hired Ellen Conti as partner and chief financial officer. Conti will report to Kathy Sutherland, GoldenTree’s CEO, and will oversee the firm’s finance function, including accounting and tax. Conti joins GoldenTree from Sculptor Capital, where she served as executive managing director and chief financial officer and was a member of the firm’s partner management committee.
“Since our inception over 26 years ago, we have continued to broaden and deepen our expertise across asset classes,” Steve Tananbaum, founder, managing partner and chief investment officer of GoldenTree, said. “As we continue to grow, having the right financial leadership in place is important to our continued success. Ellen brings extensive experience leading finance organizations, and I am confident she will be a valuable partner to Kathy and the rest of our team.”
Sutherland added, “Ellen has an outstanding track record of leadership across finance, accounting, treasury and strategic initiatives at leading alternative investment firms. Her deep financial, strategic and operational expertise will be valuable as we continue to grow and develop new offerings for our clients.”
Ellen Conti noted, “GoldenTree has built a proven investment platform and a strong reputation for delivering differentiated returns for clients. I am excited to work alongside an experienced finance team whose leaders average nearly 20 years with the firm. I look forward to joining Steve, Kathy and the broader team and contributing to GoldenTree’s continued success.”
