First Bank Welcomes Caporrino as Senior Vice President, Relationship Manager

Carmen Caporrino brings more than 40 years of banking experience, with deep expertise in asset-based lending, portfolio management and credit risk. He has a strong track record of driving portfolio growth while cultivating long-standing relationships.

First Bank added Carmen Caporrino as senior vice president, relationship manager within its asset-based lending group, reporting to Donna Calderaro, senior vice president and market executive.

Caporrino brings more than 40 years of banking experience, with deep expertise in asset-based lending, portfolio management and credit risk. He has a strong track record of driving portfolio growth while cultivating long-standing relationships with clients, advisors and business partners.

In his role at First Bank, Caporrino will leverage his extensive background in commercial credit and special assets to deliver strategic financing solutions and support the continued success of the bank’s clients.

“We are excited to welcome Carmen to First Bank,” Michael Maiorino, president of asset-based lending at First Bank, said. “His depth of experience, credit discipline and longstanding industry relationships make him a strong addition to our team as we continue to expand our platform and deliver value to our clients.”

Calderaro said, “Carmen’s reputation in the market and his ability to structure and manage complex credit relationships will be instrumental to our continued growth. He brings a thoughtful, client-focused approach that aligns well with our strategy and commitment to excellence.”

Prior to joining First Bank, Caporrino held multiple leadership roles at M&T Bank, where he focused on portfolio management and commercial credit. Over the course of his career, he has also held senior positions at People’s United Bank, CIT and Bank of America, consistently contributing to portfolio expansion and strong credit performance.

Caporrino earned a bachelor of arts in business administration from William Paterson University and completed postgraduate studies in accounting at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
