David Flaxman joined Mandelbaum Salsburg as of counsel in its Banking and Financial Services Practice and will lend his factoring expertise to the group’s service offerings for its clients.

“I am excited that David has joined our team. He brings many years of experience and expertise which will enhance our existing client relationships and help forge new ones,” said Richard Simon, co-chair of the firm’s Banking & Financial Services Group and the partner in charge of the firm’s soon to be expanding New York office.

For more than 50 years, Flaxman has focused his career on representing financial institutions, specializing in the negotiation and documentation of lending transactions and problem loan workouts. He is known for his work in factoring and has served as an expert witness in cases involving factoring issues. Prior to joining the firm, Flaxman was deputy general counsel of Crocker National Bank in California and most recently served as general counsel and executive vice president at Rosenthal & Rosenthal.

Flaxman is a Fellow of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers and has frequently lectured to financial institutions, trade groups, bar and State banking associations.
