As part of its continued investment in its tax practice, EisnerAmper has named tax partner Ramya Bala its global tax technology leader.
In this newly created role, Bala will oversee global tax technology and artificial intelligence (AI) strategy, establish governance and best practices for responsible adoption and support education and enablement across the tax practice. Working closely with tax leadership, Bala will ensure innovation is thoughtfully aligned with business needs, client outcomes and quality standards.
“Technology and AI are reshaping the tax profession and how we think about client service, value creation and advisory work,” Michael Laveman, managing partner of tax for EisnerAmper, said. “As client needs and the tax landscape continue to evolve, it’s critical we leverage technology to continue adding value for clients. With her extensive background in tax, technology and global operations, Ramya is well positioned to help shape the next generation of EisnerAmper tax practitioners.”
Bala said, “Our focus is on understanding where our people and technology intersect, how we can apply technology to become better business advisors and how we can help clients’ businesses grow. It’s truly an exciting time to navigate the leading-edge of tax technology.”
