Carter Bank appointed Kevin Lockhart to lead the bank’s commercial banking efforts in Raleigh, N.C. Lockhart’s extensive industry and market knowledge, backed by an established commercial banking office in Raleigh and a team deeply rooted in the Triangle, enables him to strengthen existing local relationships and explore new regional opportunities.

Lockhart brings extensive expertise and well-established Raleigh-based business relationships to the role, further bolstering the bank’s presence and commitment to creating opportunities for more businesses to prosper to Raleigh, which continues to rank among the nation’s fastest growing cities.

“The Raleigh-metro is such a fast-growing, dynamic market, with diverse banking needs,” Rich Spiker, senior executive vice president, chief lending officer at Carter Bank, said. “Kevin has immediate family in the area and has spent a good bit of time there, both personally and professionally. This familiarity, coupled with his strong track record of serving the community and building relationships, makes him the perfect choice to lead our expansion in the region.”

Long-time Raleigh banker Greg Hamlyn will continue to serve the Raleigh market as Carter Bank’s commercial real estate lending expert.
