Arbitration/Damages Expert Taylor Joins AlixPartners

in News

Arbitration and damages expert Greig Taylor joined AlixPartners as a managing director in its Investigations, Disputes & Risk practice. He is based in AlixPartners’ New York office.

Taylor specializes in the identification and assessment of damages and related issues, and in expert testimony, in the context of international disputes. He has testified and worked on numerous international arbitration matters for both claimants and respondents around the world, including in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Latin America.

He also has assisted clients in economic determinations of contracts and agreements in both contentious and non-contentious settings, and has provided litigation consulting involving forensic accounting and financial investigations under various national and international accounting and legal protocols.

Prior to joining AlixPartners, Greig was a senior managing director at FTI Consulting, where he was a key member of that firm’s economic and financial consulting group and was also a member of its international arbitration practice. From 2006 to 2011, he was a senior manager at Deloitte Financial Advisory Services, working on forensics and disputes issues from both London and New York. Earlier in his career, he was an audit manager at accounting firm Deloitte & Touche (now part of Deloitte Tohmatsu), and from 1999 to 2001 was on the audit staff of accounting firm Arthur Andersen.

“We welcome Greig to our team at AlixPartners,” said Simon Freakley, CEO of AlixPartners. “Our investigations and economics consulting group is a growing and important one, and Greig’s deep skills in valuations and damages, along with his international experience, will be of great value to our clients.”
