Gateway Trade Funding, a provider of purchase order finance and stretch finance solutions, significantly increased purchase order financing for a pet products company with a $1.3 million facility to support the business as sales have doubled in 2026.
The increased financing builds on a relationship that began in August 2022. Over the past four years, Gateway has worked closely with the company to address changing market conditions, accommodate its unique business model, and adjust financing levels as its inventory purchases and working capital needs have grown.
As the company works to meet increased customer demand, it faces a growing need for working capital to fund production before sales can be invoiced. While the factoring accommodation will increase with the increase in sales and invoicing, the company needs funding to produce its products prior to the creation of invoices from the sale of its product. Purchaser order finance fulfills this funding requirement.
“When we first started working with this company in 2022, its financing needs were very different from what they are today,” Mark Polinsky, principal at Gateway Trade Funding, said. “As the business has grown, we’ve continued to adapt our financing to meet its changing needs. This latest increase is a great example of how a long-term financing relationship can evolve alongside a company’s growth.”
