FGI Worldwide, a global company in the commercial finance industry, appointed Matthew Hinders as director of business development for FGI Finance. Based in Dallas, Hinders’ appointment establishes FGI Finance’s presence in Texas and marks an important step in the company’s continued growth. In addition to developing business opportunities across Texas and the Southern U.S., Hinders will cover select markets in the Upper Midwest and Western Canada, building relationships with businesses and referral partners across these regions.

Hinders joins FGI from Texas Capital Bank, where he served as executive director and asset-based lending originator, focusing on new business origination and transaction structuring. His prior experience includes finance and strategy at TPG Sixth Street Partners and roles in middle-market banking and leveraged finance at JPMorgan Chase.

“Matt’s appointment marks an important milestone as we establish FGI Finance’s presence in Texas and expand our business development reach across several key markets,” Sami Altaher, CEO of FGI, said. “His experience in asset-based lending and established industry relationships will be valuable as we build our network in these regions and pursue new opportunities for growth.”

In his new role, Hinders will focus on originating new business and developing strategic relationships to support FGI Finance’s continued growth. His background across multiple areas of commercial finance positions him to help middle-market businesses access flexible, customized asset-based lending solutions to meet their financing needs.

“I’m pleased to join FGI at an exciting time for the business,” Hinders said. “I look forward to drawing on my experience in asset-based lending to establish FGI’s presence in Texas and across the country to develop relationships with businesses seeking financing solutions to support their growth.”
