Minniette Milligan joined Dorsey & Whitney as of counsel in the finance and restructuring group in Des Moines.

Milligan has nearly two decades of experience as a practicing transactional attorney in commercial leasing and secured transactions, corporate law, compliance and public finance. Her background includes counseling clients on complex legal and regulatory issues and identifying solutions in fast-paced, evolving environments. She regularly advises on retail, commercial finance and public finance transactions; negotiates and documents complex commercial loan and lease arrangements; and drafts and negotiates U.S. vendor agreements, local program agreements and specialized financing structures such as private-label and co-branded arrangements.

Milligan returns to Dorsey from DLL Financial Services, where she was a senior legal counsel. She previously worked for Dorsey as a Paralegal in the public finance group. Milligan received her J.D. from Drake University Law School and her B.A. from University of Iowa.

“Minniette is an outstanding addition to our Finance & Restructuring team,” Eric Lopez Schnabel, practice group co-leader of the finance and restructuring group for Dorsey, said. “Her deep experience guiding clients through sophisticated transactions will serve our clients well.”

Milligan added, “By combining industry knowledge with innovative thinking, Dorsey provides valuable business solutions for clients. I look forward to joining Dorsey’s high-caliber team and making a meaningful impact.”
