Paskin Rejoins CohnReznick as Partner, Will Focus on M&A Value Creation

With extensive M&A transaction experience, including seven years of private equity industry experience, Ryan E. Paskin will lead a new value creation practice designed to help alternative investment firms develop, execute and accelerate value creation strategies.

Ryan E. Paskin has rejoined CohnReznick, a professional services firm, as a partner in its Value360 advisory practice. With extensive M&A transaction experience, including seven years of private equity industry experience, Paskin will lead a new value creation practice designed to help alternative investment firms develop, execute and accelerate value creation strategies to unlock the full growth potential of their portfolio companies. In doing so, he and his team will leverage proven strategies across commercial, operational, financial and technology functions, supporting clients throughout a transaction’s life cycle to maximize growth, efficiency and enterprise value.

Paskin returns to CohnReznick having served as a private equity operating partner for its portfolio companies (corporate carve-outs, buy-and-build and turnaround/special situations) across multiple industry sectors. Most recently, he developed value creation strategies for portfolio companies in the industrial service and professional service spaces, designing and implementing management operating systems and sales excellence procedures to drive scale and revenue growth. This included integrating more than 20 add-ons through process and technology implementations and driving commercial and financial synergies post-closing.

“Value creation is central to our Value360 practice and to the transaction advisory services we provide to our clients and their portfolio companies,” Claudine Cohen, managing partner at Value360, said. “Ryan’s extensive experience leading value creation initiatives, and his understanding that each acquisition requires a customized value creation plan, extends the expertise CohnReznick provides to the M&A markets. From due diligence through integration through exit, we are committed to uncovering opportunities to maximize value quickly, and at each stage of the investment lifecycle.”

Paskin previously worked for CohnReznick for nine years, advising middle market private equity firms on buy-side and sell-side transactions as a director in the firm’s transaction advisory practice. He later served as operating director and then operating partner for two operationally focused private equity firms. In addition to his value creation role, his responsibilities at the firms included hiring and mentoring portfolio company leadership teams, implementing ERP, Ops, CRM, HRIS and PM systems to streamline portfolio company operations, and supporting the investment team on due diligence, underwriting, transaction structuring and deal execution. In his most recent role, he also served in interim executive leadership positions for three buy-and-build platforms in the architecture and industrial sectors.

A Certified Public Accountant, Paskin earned a B.A. in accounting and finance from Muhlenberg College.
