CohnReznick, an advisory, assurance and tax firm in the United States, has opened a digital forensic lab facility outside of Washington, DC as part of its expanding cybersecurity and incident response capabilities. The lab will serve as the nerve center for a variety of incident response solutions to help businesses identify the nature and extent of a cyber incident, collect and preserve digital evidence and put steps in place to safeguard against future cyber-attacks and breaches.
Led by CohnReznick advisory principal David Sun, who has 25 years of advanced cybersecurity and digital forensics experience, the lab and team will help organizations involved in a cyber incident.
“Just last month, Check Point Research reported that Q2 2024 saw a 30% year-over-year increase in cyber-attacks globally, reaching 1,636 attacks per organization per week,” Sun said. “As these incidents become much more prominent, so can the damage they inflict. Our lab and the team supporting it are committed to helping our clients protect their valuable data and digital assets. In doing so, we also help them uphold their reputations and maintain credibility with their key stakeholders.”
“Our goal is to help our clients develop a culture of resilience through their cybersecurity, data privacy, and incident response strategies and systems,” Bhavesh Vadhani, global leader of CohnReznick’s cybersecurity, technology risk and privacy practice, said. “Our digital forensics lab is part of a growing toolkit we have in helping clients build, run, protect and transform their risk management programs.”
