The Wall Street Journal reported an increase in bankruptcies are rising in the U.S. oil and gas industries as investors are losing their appetite for shale.
According to the Journal, 26 U.S. oil-and-gas producers, including Sanchez Energy and Halcón Resources, have filed for bankruptcy this year, following the 28 producer bankruptcies in 2018.
The Journal added the trend is expected to continue.
