Winston & Strawn elevated three proven leaders to managing partner roles in Charlotte and Dallas.

Kobi Brinson will serve as managing partner of the firm’s Charlotte office, while Brett Johnson and Jordan Klein have been appointed co-managing partners of the Dallas office.

“Not only are Kobi, Brett and Jordan outstanding lawyers, but they are established and inspiring leaders within our firm,” Steve D’Amore, chairman of Winston & Strawn, said. “In their new roles, they will help drive Winston’s growth forward in a new era in key strategic markets, further enhancing the service we offer to our clients and helping attract the best local talent.”

Brinson is a member of the firm’s executive committee, co-chair of the firm’s financial services industry group, and chair of the firm’s opportunity and inclusion committee. A prominent lawyer in the Charlotte market, Brinson has spent more than 30 years defending corporate clients as both in-house and outside counsel for some of the nation’s largest financial institutions.

Johnson currently serves as head of the firm’s litigation practice for the Dallas office, in addition to stepping into the co-managing partner role in Dallas. With a focus on trials and arbitration of high-risk, complex matters, Johnson’s practice emphasizes all aspects of intellectual property and complex commercial litigation, including patent, trade secret, unfair competition, consumer class actions and breach of fiduciary duties.

Klein is co-chair of both Winston’s asset-based lending practice and its financial services industry group. Regularly advising banks, finance companies and other lenders in complex credit transactions, Klein is recognized as a go-to lawyer in asset-based lending and in the lender finance space.
