Winston & Strawn added Lee Discher to its transactions department as a partner in the finance practice in Chicago.

Discher represents corporate borrowers and private equity sponsors and borrowers in complex business transactions, with a particular focus on debt finance.

“I’m thrilled to join Winston’s premier leveraged finance team,” Discher said. “The firm’s global platform and deep mid-market presence create an ideal environment to expand my practice and deliver meaningful results for clients.”

Discher’s arrival builds on the firm’s recent transactional growth in Chicago, including the additions of partners David Love and Patrick Valenti in February.

“Lee brings immediate value to our leveraged finance team,” Timothy Kincaid and Brad Vaiana said, co-chairs of the firm’s transactions department, said. “His experience on the borrower side strengthens an already formidable team and enhances our ability to guide clients through increasingly complex financing environments.”

William O’Neil, Chicago officer managing partner for Winston, said, “Lee is an exceptional addition to our Chicago office and to our transactional bench. His experience aligns perfectly with the needs of our finance clients, and he will play an important role in supporting the practice’s continued growth.”
