In this role, Smith will help expand Vistina’s structured finance capabilities, working with issuers, sponsors and investors to develop and execute financing solutions across traditional and esoteric asset classes. His appointment further strengthens Vistina’s ability to advise clients on complex asset-backed transactions, private credit opportunities and innovative capital solutions.

Smith added, “I’m excited to join Vistina and help build on the firm’s growing structured finance platform. Vistina’s deep expertise as a market leader in esoteric investment grade assets classes creates a differentiated opportunity to work with clients on complex financing needs.”
Smith brings more than 15 years of structured finance and credit investing experience. Prior to joining Vistina, he was the head of esoteric ABS structuring at Morgan Stanley, where he executed transactions across data centers, cell towers, fiber, triple-net-lease and whole-business assets and advised on warehouse lending exposure. Earlier in his career, he held investment roles at Arena Investors, Finitive and Aurelius Capital Management, with experience spanning RMBS, CMBS, CLOs, consumer credit and specialty finance.
