The Wall Street Journal reported Hong Kong’s security regulators have charged UBS with misleading wealthy clients for a decade and fined the bank HK$400 ($51 million) and demanded HK$200 ($26) million in customer compensation.
According to the Journal, a UBS spokesman responded that the behavior of the individuals, who all lost their jobs, “is unacceptable and in strong contrast to the behavioral principles of our firm.”
