Truist to Combine Banking Ops and Corporate and Institutional Group Operations, Bharadwaj to Lead

in People

Truist Bank will combine banking operations and corporate and institutional group operations and launch a global services capability to create a new center of excellence — Enterprise Operations and Global Services — under the digital, client experience, analytics and marketing (DCAM) organization, which is led by Dontá Wilson, chief digital and client experience officer.

As a result, the bank named Raj Bharadwaj executive vice president and head of enterprise operations. He will lead the new enterprise operations and global services team, effective Sept. 1.

Bharadwaj has been in financial services for more than 30 years in roles spanning a range of executive-level responsibilities, including wholesale banking strategy, international COO and enterprise efficiency.

Since joining Truist earlier this year, Bharadwaj has co-led the enterprise-wide transformational “Building for Better” journey. Prior to Truist, Bharadwaj was executive vice president and head of enterprise services for Wells Fargo, where he served as a member of the management committee, led a global team of 25,000 teammates and was tasked with transforming and enhancing the company’s effectiveness, efficiency, client and teammate experience and risk and control environment. Prior to Wells Fargo, Bharadwaj was a partner at AT Kearney, a global management consulting firm, where he focused on strategy and operational improvement issues in financial services.
