Truist Financial named Shirley Morejon regional president of Tennessee. Morejon replaces Johnny Moore, who was recently named head of commercial banking integration to focus on strengthening and scaling partnerships across Truist’s commercial banking, wealth management and wholesale payments businesses to better serve clients.

Morejon brings more than 20 years of banking leadership across commercial banking, treasury management and relationship management. She will grow and deepen client relationships in Tennessee while supporting teammates and communities across the state.

“Shirley is a purposeful and experienced commercial banking leader with a strong record of building teams, serving clients and creating meaningful community impact,” Jodie Hughes, head of commercial banking at Truist, said. “Her client-first leadership style and deep knowledge of the Southeastern market make her well-positioned to lead our Tennessee team and help clients achieve their goals.”

Morejon was previously Bank of America’s market executive for the mid-South region, leading a team of middle market commercial bankers across Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky and Mississippi. Her team partnered with companies generating $50 million to $2 billion in annual revenue, delivering commercial banking, treasury management, investment banking, capital markets and international banking solutions.

“I am honored to join Truist and lead the Tennessee market,” Morejon said. “Tennessee is home to dynamic companies, strong communities and tremendous opportunity. I look forward to working with our teammates and partners to help clients grow, support our communities and bring Truist’s purpose to life across the state.”

A longtime advocate for mentorship and talent development, Morejon previously served as a leader of a Hispanic/Latino employee resource group supporting more than 20,000 employees. She was honored as a 2026 Nashville Business Journal Women of Influence and a 2022 Tampa Bay Business Journal Businesswoman of the Year.

Based in Nashville, Morejon actively supports many local organizations: Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce; Nashville Impact100, a women-led philanthropic group; Advancing Women in Nashville (AWIN); and Children’s Cancer Center, previously serving as board chair.
