A Tiger Commercial & Industrial online auction will feature equipment and inventory from Grow Materials, a worldwide distributor of industrial plastics resins and raw materials.

Conducted on behalf of a court-appointed receiver, the timed, online auction at SoldTiger.com opened on Thurs., Aug. 20, at 10 a.m. (CT) and will close on Thurs., Aug. 27, at 10 a.m. (CT).

Buyers will find raw materials and plastics inventory originally valued at more than $6 million, along with lab equipment, material-handling assets and furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) from Grow Materials’ former plants in Cartersville, Georgia and Houston.

Grow Materials handled a diverse array of plastics, including regrinds, pellets, various baled fibers and fiber spun on cones, along with post-industrial finished products that had not passed quality control. “For example, they would acquire mixed purging and a variety of resins from large injection molding and resin companies and then identify, test and sort these materials for resale back into the market,” John Coelho, senior director of Tiger Commercial & Industrial, said. “The goal was to enable customers to replace virgin feedstock with recycled materials without any loss in quality.”
