As the fires continue to burn across the state, with heavy winds threatening to worsen the situation, specialty finance lenders have an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by contributing to relief efforts that support affected individuals and businesses.

Here are some key organizations providing direct relief to wildfire-affected areas, along with methods for contributing:

Ways Specialty Finance Lenders Can Help

  • Corporate Donations: Allocate a portion of corporate giving budgets to wildfire relief organizations.
  • Employee Matching Programs: Encourage employees to donate by offering matching programs for wildfire relief donations.
  • Community Lending Initiatives: Consider offering low-interest or deferred-payment loans to small businesses affected by the wildfires.
  • Volunteerism: Organize volunteer efforts to assist with rebuilding communities once it is safe to do so.
The need for support is urgent. Specialty finance lenders are encouraged to act swiftly and generously to aid in the recovery and rebuilding efforts across California.
