Silver Point Capital, a credit investing firm, closed a new fund that will focus on investing in the equity tranches of Silver Point-managed broadly syndicated loan CLOs. The fund accepted capital commitments of $250 million.

The fund is designed to benefit from Silver Point’s integrated CLO platform. Launched in 2022, the firm’s CLO strategy leverages Silver Point’s deep experience underwriting and managing portfolios of credit assets in the public markets. Since the platform’s inception, Silver Point has issued seven CLOs, totaling approximately $3.1 billion of broadly syndicated loan CLO assets as of the end of 2024.

“We are very pleased with the performance of our team of 14 dedicated CLO professionals and the measured pace with which we have built our CLO business,” Ed Mulé, founding partner and CEO of Silver Point, said. “This fund was raised quickly, a recognition of the compelling combination of the team’s CLO expertise with Silver Point’s long track record in public credit investing. We are very appreciative of the investor support we have received to date and view the closing of this fund as a key step in the ongoing growth of our CLO platform.”
