SG Credit Partners added Bill Drmacich as a managing director in its commercial finance team. Drmacich is tasked with driving the strategic direction of the group, expanding nationwide coverage footprint and building a sponsor coverage practice. During Drmacich’s 30+-year career, he has spent significant stretches with HSBC, CIT, Ares and Mountain Ridge.

“There are several factors that convinced me that SG Credit is the right place to be at the right time. First and foremost is the strong roster of team members, many of whom I have known for 20+ years,” Drmacich said. “Second is the breadth of financing structures we can offer to private equity portfolio companies as well as select non-sponsored borrowers across the country. We are not limited to standard asset-based lending parameters, while many non-bank lenders say it, SG Credit is uniquely committed to providing creative, tailored financing solutions to qualified borrowers.”

Chris MacDonald, head of SG Commercial Finance, added, “We are very pleased to have Bill join the team. Bill’s extensive history of working with private equity teams will be a strong asset to SG Commercial Finance as we seek to establish new relationships with sponsors and expand this line of business nationwide. We have the unique capability to offer wide-ranging solutions to the market including stretching beyond typical ABL, providing cash flow structures and our ability to partner with like-minded capital providers in larger lending opportunities.”

Charlie Perer, head of originations (all SG verticals), said, “We are happy to welcome Bill to the team. Bill’s strong background and extensive network comprised of deep sponsor relationships will enable SG to expand it’s go-to-market strategy and provide solutions to both sponsored-and-non-sponsored businesses.”
