Big Shoulders Capital added seasoned industry veteran Tim Serritella as senior vice president. Serritella will be responsible for developing business for all of the firm’s verticals with a focus on expanding its equipment-based lending portfolio, distressed bank note purchases and auction services.

Serritella has a long history in the banking and finance industry and is firmly entrenched in the business community as an active member of the TMA, SFNet, IFA and ACG. His past experiences in banking and finance include working as loan workout officer, working in business development for a Midwest commercial lender and leading the turnaround of a multi-million-dollar logistical services company. He has formed and successfully operated a variety of entrepreneurial ventures, including an independent commercial loan brokerage business. Serritella entered the industrial marketplace in 2012, where he focused on sourcing asset disposition and bridge loan opportunities.

“Tim is a great addition to the Big Shoulders Capital team,” Joe Prudden, president of Big Shoulders Capital, said. “His depth of experience and informed perspective fits in perfectly with our business philosophy. I’m very happy to welcome Tim on board.”

Serritella said, “I’m excited to join Big Shoulders Capital at a time where economic conditions are creating a greater demand for alternative options for companies to obtain capital. I’ve known and worked with Big Shoulders Capital for many years and have always been impressed with their capabilities and ‘out-of-the-box’ perspective when assisting clients.”
