CohnReznick, a professional services firm, added Adi Rubin as a partner in the firm’s expanding client advisory services (CAS) practice. Based in the Washington, D.C. area, Rubin will advise real estate and not-for-profit clients by employing a range of managed and outsourced services to improve financial clarity, operational efficiency and strategic technology enablement.

Rubin brings to the role deep technical knowledge, an ability to quickly assess risk, identify opportunities and design practical solutions that align finance, compliance and strategic outcomes. With a combined 24 years of real estate and not-for-profit industry experience, she has helped C-suite executives, boards of directors, finance and audit committees, and other leaders employ data-driven insights, improve processes and implement cross-functional collaboration to modernize finance functions, strengthen governance and controls, and drive measurable results.

Rubin’s expertise includes building financial models for purposes of budgeting, forecasting, projecting cash flow and scenario planning. For real estate businesses, Rubin has reviewed and prepared complex accounting and tax returns and managed year-end planning for partnerships, corporations, closely held businesses and high net worth individuals. She has also advised on compliance matters related to 1031 exchanges, cost segregation and analysis, capital gains structuring, maximizing accelerated depreciation rules and many other key issues. For not-for-profit organizations, she has managed engagement teams and client staff with an emphasis on Federal award accounting and adherence to GAAP and 2 CFR 200.

“As more organizations look for ways to strengthen their financial, operational and technology capabilities, CohnReznick is focused on delivering solutions that help our clients move forward with confidence and agility,” Kane Polakoff, partner and CAS practice leader at CohnReznick Advisory, said. “Adi Rubin brings a strong track record of building trusted relationships and helping clients navigate complex challenges across industries. Her client-first approach and leadership will further enhance our ability to deliver meaningful, forward-looking results as we continue to grow our CAS practice.”

Prior to joining CohnReznick, Rubin served as a managing director with a Top 10 firm. Previously, she served clients in the commercial real estate industry at a Los Angeles-based firm. A Certified Public Accountant, Rubin earned a B.A. in economics from UCLA.
