Richards Kibbe & Orbe named Paul J. Devlin a partner in the firm and promoted Victor Ludwig to counsel.

Ludwig practices in the firm’s Corporate and Business Transactions practice group and is based in the New York office. He concentrates on credit and credit derivatives, marketplace lending and bankruptcy claims trading. He plays an active role in the firm’s finance practice, focusing on loans backed by specialty assets and representing both dealer and buy-side clients in analyzing and negotiating total return swap facilities. He also regularly assists swap providers in reviewing and negotiating credit facilities that provide support for swap transactions.

Devlin practices in the firm’s Investigations and Enforcement and Civil Litigation practice groups and is also based in the New York office. He represents corporate and individual clients in complex civil, regulatory and criminal matters, often touching on the integrity of the markets.

“We are thrilled to call Paul a partner and Victor a counsel at Richards Kibbe & Orbe,” said Jennifer Grady, managing partner of the firm. “These are talented attorneys who bring invaluable assets to their clients. Paul’s deep understanding of financial institutions and complex transactions inform his work on high-stakes litigation and investigations. Victor has established himself as a go-to attorney for both dealer and buy-side clients in the finance and derivatives spaces.”

Richards Kibbe & Orbe has approximately 65 lawyers based in New York, Washington, D.C. and London.
