Kumu Puri and Tim Jellison joined Alvarez & Marsal as managing directors in the San Francisco office. Both will work in the firm’s Telecommunications, Media & Technology practice.

“Kumu and Tim have great experience working with large, technology sector clients to deliver transformational change and significantly improve EBITDA,” said Joel O’Driscoll, managing director and lead of the West Region Corporate Transformation and Corporate Performance Improvement practices. “Their track record helping clients address complex challenges and accelerate growth aligns nicely with our restructuring heritage and commitment to improving shareholder value.”

For more than two decades, Puri has advised companies on identifying, iterating, structuring and implementing go-to-market and operations strategies that drive growth and shareholder value. She counsels leaders and managers on corporate transformation including digital strategy, customer and sales analytics, new go-to-market strategies, operating model redesign and operational effectiveness.

Prior to joining A&M, Puri was a managing director in Accenture’s Strategy practice, focused on the communications, media and technology industries. She also led several Accenture Women Leadership initiatives.

Throughout his 30-year career, Jellison has worked in the technology, media and telecommunications sectors. He has experience advising enterprise software and software-enabled businesses on operational strategy initiatives that create transformational growth and drive shareholder value. Additionally, he counsels clients on cloud business models and operational capabilities.

Prior to joining A&M, Jellison was a director with Altman Vilandrie & Company, a boutique strategy consulting firm. Earlier in his career, he spent more than 22 years in Accenture’s Management Consulting practice and led the software industry sector.
