PlainsCapital Bank Welcomes Retzer as Vice President, Relationship Manager in Denton

In this role, Roger Retzer will focus on delivering commercial banking solutions and building strong relationships with businesses and real estate investors across the Denton market.

PlainsCapital Bank added Roger Retzer to its Denton lending team as vice president, relationship manager. In this role, Retzer will focus on delivering commercial banking solutions and building strong relationships with businesses and real estate investors across the Denton market.

“Roger brings deep experience in commercial lending and credit underwriting, and we’re excited to have him join our team in Denton. His understanding of the Denton market and his ability to work directly with clients to structure thoughtful financial solutions make him an exceptional addition to our team,” Mark Warren, Fort Worth region chairman at PlainsCapital Bank, said

“Having worked with Roger at other local banks over the past several years, it’s great to have him on our team and to welcome him back to Denton with PlainsCapital Bank,” Randy Robinson, Denton market president at PlainsCapital Bank, said.

Retzer brings more than 16 years of experience in financial services. He most recently served as assistant vice president and portfolio manager at Happy State Bank. Prior to that, he held a similar role with Texas Bank and Trust and served as vice president, commercial lending at PointBank. Earlier in his career, Retzer held various credit analysis and commercial lending roles at several Texas community banks.

He earned a bachelor of business administration in finance from the University of North Texas and a master of business administration from Southern Methodist University. He is also a graduate of Leadership Flower Mound’s Class of 2025.

“I’m excited to join PlainsCapital and be part of a Texas-based bank that’s focused on the communities it serves,” Retzer said. “Denton holds a special place in my career, and I look forward to working with local businesses again and helping them navigate opportunities as they grow.”
