Jamie Ballard, CTP, has joined PlainsCapital Bank’s commercial lending team as senior vice president, senior relationship manager. He will office out of The Woodlands branch.

Ballard brings more than 28 years of experience in financial services to PlainsCapital, with a strong track record of driving growth, building high performing teams and serving middle market and commercial clients across the Houston region. In his new role, Ballard will focus on developing and managing commercial relationships, delivering tailored lending and treasury solutions, and supporting PlainsCapital’s continued growth throughout the Greater Houston market.

“Jamie knows the Houston market and has spent years working directly with commercial clients,” Danny Schroder, Houston region chairman at PlainsCapital Bank, said. “His background leading teams and serving a wide range of clients will be an asset as we continue growing our presence across Houston.”

Prior to joining PlainsCapital, Ballard served as senior vice president and North team lead at Veritex Community Bank (now Huntington Bank) in The Woodlands, where he built and managed a $140 million portfolio of loans and deposits. Previously, he spent five years with Allegiance Bank (now Stellar Bank) as vice president of commercial banking. His earlier career includes commercial banking roles at Regions Bank and Capital One Bank.

Ballard holds a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation and serves on the board of the Players Theatre Company. He earned a bachelor of science in finance from the University of Phoenix.

“I’m excited to join PlainsCapital and be part of a team that truly values relationship banking,” Ballard said. “I look forward to working with our clients in The Woodlands and surrounding communities to support their growth and long‑term success.”
