MIAMI — First American Bank has appointed Alex Pascual as its new Commercial Lending Group Head, adding a seasoned leader with more than 25 years of experience in commercial banking to its executive team.

Pascual joins the bank from Amerant Bank, where he was senior vice president. There, he focused on business development and managed complex lending solutions for small to mid-sized businesses across multiple industries.

“We’re excited to welcome Alex to our team,” said Brian Hagan, Florida market president for First American Bank. “His extensive background in commercial lending and client relationship management will help us further enhance our offerings for Florida’s business community, delivering both sophisticated financial solutions and the personalized service our clients value.”

Pascual said he is eager to contribute to the bank’s growth and mission.

“I’m honored to join a bank with such a strong local legacy and a commitment to its clients,” he said. “I look forward to helping First American Bank continue to deliver personalized, high-touch service while supporting businesses in achieving their goals and long-term financial success.”

First American Bank, a privately owned institution with more than 20 years of experience in Florida, combines the scale of a large bank with the service of a community institution. The bank supports businesses from early development through liquidity events and beyond.

“Alex’s leadership will be key as we continue to offer clients comprehensive, customized solutions,” Hagan said. “We’re confident that his expertise will strengthen our relationships and better position us to meet the long-term financial goals of our clients.”
