Oxford Finance, a specialty finance firm, completed the first year of its asset-based lending strategy, closing five transactions representing $368 million in total commitments.

“The successful launch of our asset-based lending strategy reflects Oxford’s continued commitment to expanding our lending capabilities and delivering flexible capital solutions to the market,” Kevin Harbour, managing director at Oxford Finance, said. “We are pleased with the strong foundation the team has established in its first year and look forward to building on this momentum.”

Nick McDearis, managing director of asset-based lending at Oxford Finance, added, “When we launched the strategy, our objective was to create a differentiated ABL platform focused on responsiveness, creativity, and execution certainty. The breadth of what we’ve been able to close from both a size and structural standpoint during our first year demonstrates the strength of our team and the demand for flexible financing solutions in today’s market.”

Over the course of its inaugural year, Oxford’s asset-based lending team:

  • Closed five transactions totaling $368 million of committed capital. Transaction sizes ranged from $25 million to $160 million, with an average commitment of over $70 million; Oxford served as the sole lender on all transactions.
  • Provided financing solutions to both sponsor-backed and non-sponsored middle market companies across the transportation, consumer products, equipment, and industrial manufacturing sectors.
  • Delivered tailored working capital and liquidity solutions designed to support growth, acquisitions, and operational objectives.
  • Further expanded Oxford’s middle market financing platform and asset-based lending capabilities, reinforcing the firm’s ability to meet a broad range of borrower needs.

“We remain highly optimistic about the opportunity ahead,” McDearis said. “The market continues to present compelling opportunities to partner with companies and sponsors seeking thoughtful, relationship-driven capital providers. We expect to continue growing the platform while maintaining the disciplined underwriting and client service standards that define Oxford Finance.”
