Monroe Capital has been selected by Inc. Magazine’s 2025 List of Founder-Friendly Investors. The annual list honors the private equity firms, venture capital firms and lenders with a track record of backing founder-led companies. Monroe has earned this recognition for the third consecutive year, since the introduction of the Inc. Founder-Friendly Investors’ Lender category.

Tom Aronson, vice chairman and head of originations at Monroe, said, “We’re honored to be named to Inc.’s Founder-Friendly Investors list for the third consecutive year. At Monroe, we take pride in being a trusted capital partner to founder-led and family-owned businesses. Our tailored lending solutions are designed to support their growth strategies, from acquisitions to expansion, while preserving the entrepreneurial spirit that drives their success.”

Zia Uddin, president of Monroe, said, “For over two decades, Monroe has built deep relationships with exceptional founders and family-owned businesses across North America. Through our Independent Sponsor group or family-owned business initiatives, we provide flexible financing that empowers entrepreneurs to scale, innovate and navigate their growth journey. Our collaborative approach goes beyond capital; we bring strategic insight and long-term partnership to every investment.”

Bonny Ghosh, editorial director at Inc., said, “Raising capital is no small feat for today’s entrepreneurs. That’s why discovering investors who offer more than just financial backing — those who bring mentorship, resources and a true spirit of partnership to your growth journey — is both rare and invaluable. The 2025 Founder-Friendly Investors are collaborators and dedicated to helping their portfolio companies succeed.”
