Monroe Capital added Alexandra Artes-Roy as a director on the direct originations team. Based in Monroe’s Los Angeles office, Artes-Roy will be responsible for originating new business opportunities within the West Coast region.

Artes-Roy has over 10 years of experience in private credit. Prior to joining Monroe, she was a Principal at KKR, where she worked across the firm’s U.S. and Asia private credit teams, focusing on originating and underwriting private debt and capital markets solutions for financial sponsors and corporate clients. Prior to KKR, Artes-Roy was an associate at Barings, where she worked on the firm’s global high yield and Asia private credit teams.

“We are excited to welcome Alexandra to Monroe Capital,” Alex Patil, partner and Southern California region group head for Monroe Capital, said. “Her extensive private credit experience, strong sponsor relationships and track record of delivering tailored financing solutions make her an excellent addition to our team. Alexandra’s expertise and market insight will further enhance our ability to serve sponsors and middle-market companies across the West Coast while continuing to grow our leading direct originations platform.”
