Mitsubishi HC Capital America, a non-bank, non-captive finance provider in North America, hired three seasoned credit leaders to support its continued growth and diversification across growing and specialized markets. These hires bring deep expertise to the company’s expanding specialty lending activities within asset-based lending, franchise finance, equipment leasing, project finance and trade finance, as well as private credit across the United States and Canada.

Leading this initiative is Wolfgang Arbaczewski, named senior vice president, chief credit officer – specialty finance. With over 25 years of underwriting experience across a broad spectrum of lending products and industries, Arbaczewski will lead a diverse underwriting team supporting Mitsubishi HC Capital America’s commercial finance platform.

Reporting directly to chief credit officer Sue Santos, Arbaczewski will help shape credit strategy, set risk parameters and ensure portfolio quality across North America. His extensive experience in transaction underwriting across multiple asset classes and industries, as well as in effectively managing credit processes from structuring to closing, will be instrumental in driving strategic growth and maintaining the company’s reputation for disciplined, high-quality credit execution.

“I’m thrilled to join Mitsubishi HC Capital America at such a pivotal time in its growth,” Arbaczewski said. “The opportunity to lead a talented team and help shape the future of the specialty finance segment across North America is incredibly exciting. I look forward to contributing to the company’s continued success and innovation in the market.”

“Wolfgang’s appointment reflects our commitment to building a world-class credit organization,” Santos said. “His leadership, market insight and ability to navigate complex credit structures will be invaluable as we continue to expand our specialty finance platform.”

In addition, Mitsubishi HC Capital America is also pleased to welcome two additional accomplished professionals to its credit team:

  • Justin Anderson, vice president, brings over 15 years of experience in commercial and equipment finance with a focus in quick service restaurants. He will underwrite large-ticket transactions in the franchise finance segment, and support credit decisions across other verticals.
  • Kiu Wong, vice president, joins the team with 15+ years of experience in energy and infrastructure project finance. He will focus on underwriting transactions in clean energy and technology infrastructure including solar, battery storage and data centers.

“As we continue to grow and diversify, building a credit team with deep expertise and strong leadership is essential to our success,” Santos said. “These appointments position us to better serve our clients, manage risk effectively and capitalize on new opportunities across North America.”
