Justin Hewett has joined Mayer Brown in Houston as a partner in its Global Leveraged Finance and Private Capital Group. He joins from DLA Piper. Hewett’s arrival marks Mayer Brown’s continued growth and expansion into Texas.

Hewett represents private credit funds, commercial banks and other institutional lenders in a broad range of domestic and cross-border debt financing transactions, including growth capital financings, acquisition financings, corporate lending and related restructurings and workouts. He advises clients on both sponsor-backed and non-sponsor-backed transactions, including financings involving complex collateral structures, intercreditor arrangements, and cross-border collateral issues. Hewett also advises on equity-linked features that often arise in growth financing transactions, including convertible debt, warrants and preferred equity.
