Christopher Lawrence will join Lazard Financial Advisory as a managing director and deputy chairman in Investment Banking, based in New York, effective October 2, 2018.
Lawrence joins from Rothschild, where he was Deputy Chairman of Global Financial Advisory since 2005. Before that, he was chief strategic officer of Credit Suisse Group from 2003 to 2005. He also previously served as vice chairman and member of the executive board of Credit Suisse First Boston, where he also headed the global telecoms group from 2000 to 2003. Prior to that he worked at Salomon Smith Barney, where he was a vice chairman of Investment Banking.
He began his investment banking career with Salomon Brothers in 1981.
