Lafayette Square USA has provided a senior secured growth financing facility to Hollywood Trucks Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of Autonomous Mobile Power, to support the manufacturing and deployment of its next-generation ECOLUXE autonomous-energy production trailers, expanding the infrastructure powering film and television productions with clean energy across the U.S.
The financing will support Hollywood Trucks as it scales its fleet to meet growing demand from entertainment studios and commercial customers. Through its exclusive agreement with Universal Production Services for the Universal Studios Lot, the Company continues to provide film and television productions with autonomous-energy infrastructure that reduces emissions while providing reliable, on-site mobile power.
“In addition to Hollywood Trucks establishing itself as an innovative leader in autonomous-energy production infrastructure, the company’s differentiated technology, long-standing customer relationships and ability to solve a critical operational challenge for major studios create a compelling platform for continued growth,” Abhay Patel, managing director at Lafayette Square, said. “We’re pleased to partner with the Hollywood Trucks team as they expand their market leadership and continue advancing more self-sustaining production solutions.”
Founded by Andre Champagne, Hollywood Trucks is an autonomous, clean-energy entertainment fleet that has supported more than 3,000 film and television productions.
Champagne and the Company are widely recognized for pioneering autonomous-energy transportation and mobile power solutions for the entertainment industry, including the launch of the world’s first patented solar-powered talent trailers.
“This financing represents an important milestone for Hollywood Trucks as we continue scaling our fleet and advancing self-sustaining infrastructure for the entertainment industry,” Andre Champagne, founder and chief executive officer of Hollywood Trucks, said. “Lafayette Square shares our long-term vision and provides the capital and strategic partnership needed to accelerate manufacturing, support our growing customer base, and continue delivering innovative autonomous-energy solutions to productions across the country.”
Beyond capital, Lafayette Square introduces its portfolio companies to Worker Solutions, a services platform advising clients on human capital practices and facilitating introductions to third-party employee benefit service providers with the goal of reducing turnover and operational risk while improving job quality, retention and productivity.
