Jeweler Alex & Ani Sues BofA Over $50MM Credit Facility Default

The Wall Street Journal reported jeweler Alex & Ani is fighting Bank of America’s claim that the jewelry retailer defaulted on a $50 million credit facility, filing a lawsuit accusing the lender of gender discrimination.

According to the Journal, Alex & Ani content that Bank of America raised the company’s rates and forced it to pay for outside consultants after it replaced a male CFO with a woman in 2017.
