GrayRobinson expanded its bankruptcy section with the addition of a team of seasoned attorneys in the Boca Raton office. Coming from a bankruptcy and creditors’ rights firm with more than 40 years of history in South Florida, the five attorneys joining the firm include Robert C. Furr, Alan R. Crane, Jason S. Rigoli, Alvin S. Goldstein and Jonathan T. Crane.

“We continue to see demand for sophisticated bankruptcy and creditors’ rights counsel, and the addition of this veteran team strengthens and expands our ability to effectively serve our clients throughout Florida and beyond,” Dean Cannon, president and CEO of GrayRobinson, said. “We are excited to welcome Robert, Alan, Jason, Alvin and Jonathan to GrayRobinson.”

Steven J. Solomon, bankruptcy section chair and Miami managing shareholder for GrayRobinson, added, “The addition of this seasoned group of practitioners not only bolsters our Bankruptcy Section bench, but also adds the expertise to file debtor-side cases and enhances our fiduciary practice, while building on relationships this group has developed over decades of practice in Florida. We welcome them to our Bankruptcy Section as we continue to expand the services we provide in the bankruptcy and insolvency arena.”

Robert C. Furr, shareholder, serves as a panel trustee for the U.S. Trustee Program in the Southern District of Florida, administering bankruptcy estates and pursuing recoveries for creditors in Chapter 7 proceedings. He also represents businesses, individuals, creditors and fiduciaries in Chapter 11 and Chapter 12 proceedings, business restructurings, receiverships and commercial litigation, counseling clients across industries including healthcare, real estate, manufacturing and professional services. Drawing on more than 40 years in practice, he also serves as a mediator in bankruptcy disputes and reorganization matters.

Furr has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America for Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law from 2007-2026, and by Florida Super Lawyers for Bankruptcy from 2006-2026. A fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy and a past president of the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees, he founded the Bankruptcy Committee of the Palm Beach County Bar Association. He is board certified in both business and consumer bankruptcy law by the American Board of Certification. Furr earned his Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Carolina. He is admitted to practice in Florida and Georgia.

“For more than 40 years, our team has focused on helping individuals and businesses navigate complex bankruptcy matters and find practical, effective solutions,” Furr said. “Joining GrayRobinson allows us to continue that work with the reach and resources of a full-service firm, giving our clients access to a broader range of services to meet all their legal needs.”

Alan R. Crane, shareholder, represents debtors, creditors and bankruptcy trustees in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11, including Subchapter V proceedings, as well as related complex bankruptcy litigation and appeals, drawing on more than three decades of experience to help clients seeking financial relief, creditors protecting their rights and trustees administering bankruptcy estates.

  1. Crane has twice received The Florida Bar’s President’s Pro Bono Service Award and has earned numerous pro bono honors from the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County, including its Legacy Award, and has been recognized by Florida Super Lawyers for Bankruptcy from 2017-2026. He is an emeritus member of the American Inns of Court LIV, Craig S. Barnard Chapter. A. Crane earned his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University College of Law and his Bachelor of Science from the University of South Florida, and is admitted to practice in Florida and before the U.S. Supreme Court.

“Every bankruptcy case comes with its own set of challenges, and our approach has always been to work closely with clients to find the right path forward for their specific situation,” A. Crane said. “We’re glad to bring that approach to GrayRobinson, where our clients will continue to enjoy boutique-level service with the added benefits of a full-service law firm.”

Jason S. Rigoli, shareholder, advises businesses, business owners, fiduciaries and creditors confronting financial distress, insolvency and business disputes, representing debtors, trustees and creditors in Chapter 7, Chapter 11 (including Subchapter V) and Chapter 13 proceedings, with a bankruptcy litigation practice that includes significant asset-recovery matters, complex reorganizations and appellate matters.

Rigoli has been recognized by Florida Super Lawyers for Bankruptcy, Business Litigation and Creditor Debtor Rights from 2024-2026. Rigoli earned his Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law and his Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida. He is admitted to practice in Florida, Colorado and the District of Columbia, and before the U.S. Supreme Court.

“Our team’s litigation and asset-recovery work on behalf of trustees, creditors and businesses reflects the type of complex bankruptcy matters we are regularly called on to handle,” Rigoli said. “Being part of GrayRobinson’s Bankruptcy Section connects that work to a firm with the depth to support clients through every stage of a case, from filing through litigation and recovery.”

Alvin S. Goldstein, of counsel, represents debtors, trustees, creditors, creditors’ committees and debtor-in-possession lenders in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 proceedings, including business and individual reorganizations. With a background in finance, he evaluates the capital structures and economic realities affecting a business or high-net-worth individual to help clients pursue commercially practical outcomes.

Goldstein has been recognized by Florida Super Lawyers for Bankruptcy from 2019-2026, and has been board-certified in business bankruptcy law by the American Board of Certification for over 25 years. He earned his Juris Doctor cum laude from Boston University School of Law and his Bachelor of Science from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. He is admitted to practice in Florida and New York.

Jonathan T. Crane, of counsel, focuses his practice on bankruptcy, restructuring and insolvency matters, representing individuals, businesses, creditors and trustees in consumer and business bankruptcy cases, corporate restructurings, assignments for the benefit of creditors and related disputes.

J. Crane was the recipient of the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County’s 2026 Rising Star Award. He is a member of the Bankruptcy Bar Association’s Financial Literacy Subcommittee and mentored law students in the St. Thomas University College of Law’s Bankruptcy Externship Program from 2023-2025. He earned his Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University College of Law and his Bachelor of Arts from Florida Atlantic University. He is admitted to practice in Florida.
