Great American (GA Group), a provider of financial advisory, valuation, asset disposition, investment banking and lending services and majority-owned by funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management, appointed Justin Anderson as managing director in the Midwest region and promoted Akilah Moore to senior director of business development in the Midwest and Canada for GA Group’s advisory and valuation services segment.

In his new role, Anderson will lead client and referral-partner relationships throughout the Midwest. Based in the greater Chicago area, he brings extensive experience in middle-market finance, asset-based lending and complex capital solutions. Throughout his career, he has advised businesses and collaborated with lenders, investors and sponsors on financing and liquidity needs. His background across lending, capital markets and relationship management will support GA Group’s continued expansion and deepen its client relationships across the region.

“I’m excited to join GA Group and contribute to a platform with a strong reputation for delivering practical, high-quality advisory and valuation solutions,” Anderson said. “Having spent more than a decade working with middle-market companies, financial sponsors, and bank and non-bank ABL providers, I understand that successful transactions depend on strong relationships, thoughtful planning and disciplined execution. The Midwest is a relationship-driven market, and I look forward to partnering with clients and referral sources to help them anticipate capital needs, navigate complexity and execute with confidence.”

Moore’s promotion reflects her success in building and expanding client relationships across the Midwest, as well as her expertise in appraisal, valuation and field-examination services. She began her career as an appraiser on the industrial inventory team and brings practical experience in the diligence required to support asset-based lending transactions. Her background enables her to help clients and referral partners navigate complex financing decisions with confidence.

In her expanded role, Moore will continue to lead growth and client support in the Midwest while assuming responsibility for GA Group’s coverage and expansion in Canada. Drawing on the firm’s specialized resources and institutional knowledge, she will focus on strengthening the company’s presence in both markets.

“Clients need a trusted partner who can provide reliable diligence when timing and execution are critical to a transaction’s success,” Moore said. “I’m excited to expand our reach and provide clients throughout the Midwest and Canada with access to GA Group’s expertise, insights and resources.”

Bill Soncini, recently named co-president and chief revenue officer of GA Group’s appraisal and valuation division, added, “Justin brings the market knowledge, lending experience and relationship-first approach that our Midwest clients value. Having spent years focused closely on the Midwest and as national sales manager, I know how important it is to show up for clients with expertise, urgency and genuine care. Justin and Akilah bring exactly that approach, and his appointment, together with her well-earned promotion and expanded coverage, gives us an even stronger team to meet growing demand across critical markets.”
