Great American (GA Group), a provider of financial advisory, valuation, asset disposition and investment banking services and majority-owned by funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management, expanded its CFO advisory practice with the appointments of Rosita Sororian as director and Dallas market leader and Ari Cretu as director and Houston market leader.

“Rosita and Ari bring complementary experience and a shared commitment to helping clients build stronger, more scalable finance functions,” Kimberly Leighton, managing director and national practice leader, CFO advisory practice at GA Group, said. “Their appointments reinforce our investment in the Texas market and enhance our ability to deliver practical, strategic support to organizations at critical points in their growth and transformation.”

Sororian will lead the firm’s CFO advisory efforts in Dallas. She brings more than 15 years of experience partnering with executive teams to strengthen finance organizations, improve operational performance, support strategic transactions and help companies navigate complexity through periods of growth and transformation. Sororian is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a master of science in accounting and information management from the University of Texas at Dallas and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from SMU Cox School of Business.

Cretu will lead the Houston market, bringing more than 20 years of experience advising the office of the CFO across start-ups, private equity-backed companies and publicly traded enterprises. His experience includes finance transformation, interim leadership, technical accounting, audit readiness, transaction diligence, M&A integration and AI automation. Cretu is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas and holds accounting degrees from Syracuse University and Suffolk University.

“These appointments are an important step in the continued expansion of our financial advisory platform,” Curt Germany, senior managing director at GA Financial Advisory Services, said. “With deep local leadership in Dallas and Houston, our CFO Advisory Practice is well positioned to help clients address complex financial and operational challenges while creating sustainable value.”
