Thomas E. Walker, Jr., joined Jones Walker as a partner on the Banking & Financial Services Industry Team in the law firm’s Jackson, FL office.

Walker focuses on commercial and regulatory matters in the financial services industry and has a depth of experience representing financial institutions.

Prior to joining the firm, he served as executive vice president and director of a $200 million community bank in Forest, MS. He also has experience as general counsel, chief operating officer, chief financial officer, and chief investments officer in the financial services sector.

“We are pleased to have Tom join our firm and know that his in-house bank experience will be a tremendous asset to both our clients and our banking and financial services industry team,” said Bill Hines, managing partner of Jones Walker.

“Tom is well respected by our clients and colleagues and it is a pleasure to again have Tom as a member of our Mississippi financial services team. Prior to joining Bank of Forest, Tom was an associate with our team at Watkins Ludlam Winter and Stennis,” said Craig Landrum, co-leader of the Banking & Financial Services Industry Sector Team.

Walker previously served as chairman of the Attorneys Committee of the Mississippi Bankers Association during the 2017-2018 fiscal year, and he currently serves as a member of that committee. He has been an active Certified Public Accountant in Mississippi since 2001.
