Dechert added Aaron Scow as a partner in its corporate and securities practice, based in Dallas. His arrival strengthens the firm’s capital markets capabilities and advances Dechert’s continued expansion in Texas.
“Aaron’s practice connects two important priorities for Dechert: expanding our capital markets capabilities and building our presence in Texas,” Mark Thierfelder, co-chair of Dechert, said. “His longstanding relationships in Dallas and experience helping companies finance and execute significant transactions will be valuable as we continue to grow.”
Mike Poulos, vice chairman and global head of strategy for Dechert, added, “As our Texas presence grows, we are broadening the range of transactional work we handle in the region. Aaron adds capital markets depth in Dallas, complementing our M&A, private equity and lending practices. His arrival creates new opportunities for collaboration with colleagues globally and for continued growth in Texas and beyond.”
Scow advises public and private companies, private equity sponsors and venture capital investors on debt and equity offerings, mergers and acquisitions and portfolio company investments. His capital markets practice includes Rule 144A and Regulation S debt offerings for utilities both in the U.S. and international markets. He also represents buyers and sellers in leveraged buyouts and public mergers and counsels clients on corporate governance and general corporate and securities matters.
“Joining Dechert gives me new and additional ways to support clients as their financing and transactional needs evolve,” Scow said. “I look forward to connecting clients with colleagues across the firm’s global network while helping build our Dallas presence and contributing to Dechert’s continued growth in Texas.”
