Dechert recently advised Barings, an investment manager, on a definitive agreement to acquire Artemis Real Estate Partners, an $11+ billion real estate investment firm. This acquisition is set to strengthen Barings’ position in the U.S. real estate market and accelerate the platform’s growth by combining the firms’ complementary investment capabilities and expertise. The transaction is expected to close in Q1/25.
The Dechert team advising Barings was led by corporate partners Ken Young, Gregory Schernecke and Ross MacConnell along with global tax partner Joshua Milgrim and employee benefits partner Kevin Kay.
